About Ivyees

What do you get when you combine a bee farmer and a Software Engineer"? Me! I’m the founder of Logwood Company by day, a Bee Enthusiast by night. While this combination could not be more opposite, I use the same intense level of ingenuity to successfully achieve my goals in both areas.

Originally an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM I was a liaison between customers, Engineering Development and Software testing. I worked with a team of engineers to smoothly integrate system updates for customers such as Verizon where their software implementation increased revenue by more than 25%. I’ve spent the last 10 years in Project Management gaining industry experience with Microsoft technologies and Database deployment.

Starting 2010, I launched Logwood Company and Ivyees “Everything Honey” brand, which introduced premium honey from the Caribbean and New Zealand.

Later in 2015 I expanded the business into making healthy products using raw honey and it’s derivatives. These products include hair, face, oral and body care, as well as condiments such as honey jerk and BBQ seasonings, salad dressing and chutneys.

As a result, I now operate across 4 continents, increasing my products offering from one to five lines over five years. In spite of the many challenges, I’ve persevered and remained focused on my vision. I’m now successfully running a fast growing company, breaking down barriers and making history by becoming the first black-owned business in Boston’s historic North End which launched November 2018.

The grand opening was featured on several news platform including WCVB Chronicle, NBC10, NECN as well as several publications including the Boston Globe and North End News.
